Last weekend my family went camping. Being away from the city for a few days is refreshing for my soul, even if it is a lot of work. An open fire to grill a hot dog or roast marshmallows, the crackling of the fire in the moonlight, and the fragrant smell of clean air. These are some of the reasons we take the effort to leave home and go camping, away from the chores and noise of life at home, to experience a break from everything we have on our schedule.

Now if you are like us, you can’t go camping every weekend, we have jobs, a young boy, and three dogs, so it is a lot of work just to wake up and get everyone fed for the day. So we have brought aspects of life outdoors back home, a fire pit in the back yard, various trees in our front and back yard, benches to sit and enjoy a cool afternoon outside after work. We even hung a tire swing on our tall old Oak tree to swing gently in the breeze after our sometimes long work days.

Our goal is to find the things you enjoy, and bring them back home. Whether that be a new bench for your front or back yard, a deck to sit and enjoy the outdoors, covered awning or raised flower beds for gardening. Making little improvements to your outdoor space can help you enjoy your home even more.
